web based applications
web site software developmentScalable web applications built for your exact requirements
What are web applications? They are software applications and systems that are reprogrammed to work on a web server. They function either on a local area network or wide area network depending on the application specification, speed and security. Common examples of such systems are customer relationship management programs, business directories, stock management systems, service support ticketing systems, reservation systems and learning management systems. These can be configured locally on an Intranet or both locally and externally on an Extranet or for global secure access on the Internet.
As web applications function on a web server and not directly on your desktop computer there is no associated (per computer) licensing cost for the software as the application is accessed through any compatible web browser. This can dramatically reduce the cost of acquisition.
secure web applicationsSecurely accessible through any online PC
Web applications use a web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox etc). Whether on a LAN or WAN they can be configured to only allow access from certain computers or users and are completely secure with powerful encryption used where necessary (think online banking)
live updates and backupsReal time updates
As web applications execute on a web server they can be configured to refresh the browser every few seconds and therefore run in real time for all users. If employee A makes a change to customer B's details all other employees can see those changes immediately.
Backups can also be automated to constantly synchronise the live data with the backup data meaning there are always a minimum of two copies of your data.
